The innovative solution of Hopeful
By developing a diagnostic tool for the assessment of migrant and refugee children’s gaps and needs in literacy, numeracy & digital competences, and enhancing teachers’ skills on teaching these topics, HOPEFUL aims at better addressing the educational needs of refugee and migrant children, at reducing their early school leaving and at improving their integration in the national education system.
Hopeful aims at:
Providing a diagnostic tool for the effective assessment of refugee and migrant childrens’ gaps and needs in literacy, numeracy and digital competences
Promoting innovative practices, digital and non-digital, in teaching literacy, numeracy and digital competences to refugee (and/or migrant children) with interrupted education.

By identifying the skills that secondary school teachers need for the effective teaching of literacy, numeracy and digital skills to refugee and/or migrant
children.
By designing a capacity building program for secondary school teachers and school counsellors/advisors
By developing a diagnostic tool for assessing the gaps and needs of secondary school migrant and refugee children
By developing an online platform where teachers can find digital modules for their training
